CHAPTER 16 - EXCERPT

This is a tale of defeat and resilience that somehow found a way, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  

The previous chapter chronicled the court-ordered shut down of HUGEsound Post Production. When that happened, I was in the midst of producing the original music score for Warhammer: Chaosbane. All of my files and equipment were seized, assets were frozen, agreements were suspended, and I was fired without warning and without pay. 

I will tell you the story of how I navigated the court-ordered shutdown and its fallout. And I will give you a proper postmortem on the music score itself, from the initial pitch to post production...

CHAPTER 16 - EXCERPT

Of course, there were also all the normal things that have to be negotiated in a game-scoring agreement, like indemnity and liability, submissions and approvals, credits, promotional allowances, delivery and payment milestones, agency fees, and many more terms. All of these details had to be resolved. 

We began negotiating the contract on May 31. After 67 days of contract negotiations, on August 6, all parties finally agreed to terms. Here are some of the key points from the fully executed contract...
